Addressing excessive glare of vehicle headlights

In early 2026, DarkSky debuted DarkSky One at the Detroit Auto Show, a concept car designed specifically for nighttime driving.

DarkSky One was designed to spark important conversations within the automotive industry about the growing problem of excessively bright headlights and how brighter does not always mean better visibility or safer roads. DarkSky is working to raise awareness of the impacts of headlight glare and advance solutions that improve visibility, reduce light pollution, and make nighttime driving safer.
